Vital Report - Rotherham 2-1 Cardiff
New York Stadium
Cardiff's Championship season continued with another defeat at the New York Stadium against Rotherham on Saturday.
A second successive defeat, having been previously uneaten in the league before last weekends loss against Hull, was suffered by Cardiff when Connolly's own goal in the last minute saw the Bluebirds, who had levelled Odjidja-Ofoe's goal through Whittingham, lose two-one and have Marshall sent off against bottom of the table Rotherham.

There wasn't much going on in the first half, which looked likely to be goalless, until drama in the last five-minutes, or so of the opening 45-minutes....
Rotherham were given the chance to go ahead when Marshall kicked out at Derbyshire with half time approaching, this not only brought the Cardiff 'keeper a red card but also the Millers a penalty. Odjidja-Ofoe (43) was the man to eventually take this and he beat Moore, who had come on, to open the scoring.
Cardiff had the chance to go into the break level when Rawson brought down Fabio for a Bluebirds penalty in first half injury-time. Whittingham (45) doesn't often miss and he didn't here either as he smashed home from the spot.
A winner looked more likely to come from Rotherham in the second half with Moore making a fine save to keep out Clarke-Harris and when the 'keeper was beaten by Newell's volley struck this hit the post.

The 10-men Cardiff looked set for a point until Connolly (90) could only deflect a Maguire cross into the back of his own net as Rotherham won for the first time this season and a first home defeat by the Bluebirds was followed up with a first away defeat too!
