Bluebirds v Blades

Cardiff City entertain high flying Sheffield United, the Blades are almost confirmed as Championship runners-up and can gain promotion this weekend if results go their way.

Vital Quotes:

'In 26 years in football as a manger I don't think I have ever been prouder of a group of players as I have with these at full-time' - Neil Warnock was full of praise following their last gasp winner against Hull City and taking a huge step towards promotion.

'We don't want a good season to fizzle out and it is up to the players to hold on to our position.' - Dave Jones wants to make sure we end the season on a high

Cardiff City Team News:

Dave Jones make use the game to test out players like switching Joe Ledley to left back. Also Willie Boland may continue to try and earn a new contact in central midfield. Paul Parry could start after his impressive cameo against Reading but a place on the subs bench looks more likely

Player to watch: Jason Koumas

Didnt look out of place against Champions Reading and set up the two Cardiff goals with accurate crosses. The creative midfielder knows that Cardiff will not play in the premiership next season, but may still want to prove himself here and impress prospective managers.

Sheffield United Team News:

An impressive looking team line-up for Shuffield Utd including the likes of Chris Morgan the captain and centre-back rock, Everton old-boy David Unsworth, and highly rated Phil Jagielka. Former City target Steve Kabba likely to start on the bench with the experienced and top scorer Neil Shipperley continuing up front

Player to watch: Danny Webber

Former Man Utd youngster Danny Webber has been prolific in the Championship last season with Watford and this season with the Blades scoring 10 goals so far. His pace, power and finishing will be tough to cope with.

Match Facts & Stats

Sheffield have taken just 1 point from the last 9 available away from home but 7 from the most recent 3 games.

Cardiff have lost the previous 2 games, conceding an alarming 8 goals but have only lost once in the last 6 home games, the 2-5 defeat by champions Reading
