Cardiff v Norwich (Match Preview)

Norwich City are the visitors to Ninian Park for the crunch Championship match against Cardiff City. The game sees two of the in-form Championship sides square up to each other as they both hunt the play-off positions.

The two clubs have seen similar seasons so far. Woeful early season form saw both at the wrong end of the league table. Norwich City sacked their manager, Glenn Roeder stepping in and results have improved markedly and the Canaries have soared up the division.

Unbeaten in eleven games is a frightening statistic, with 6 of those games yielding three points and some usefull draws against promotion rivals. In short, Norwich are a very difficult team to beat and have become stubborn and ruthless in their play conceeding just one league goal in four games and winning their last two games 1-0.

Although not the most prolific scorers, Norwich have undouted talent in their ranks. Ched Evans is a Welsh youngster with a bright future while Huckerby, Dublin and Cureton point to a mixture of skill and experience.

A number of players have recently joined the Canaries on loan, Kieran Gibbs from Arsenal the most well known. NCFC appear a strong outfit and will provide a stern test for Cardiff.

Cardiff City did not sack their manager after poor early season results. However, the result has been much the same with an impressive resurgence in form and results of the team.

Cardiff have also been on a good run, although they were beaten last week at the Brittannia Stadium by a strong Stoke City side. Prior to that, Cardiff were unbeaten in seven games with 5 victories and useful draws against West Brom and Watford.

Cardiff have Welsh Internationals Joe Ledley and Paul Parry in good form while midfield dou of Gavin Rae and Stephen McPhail have impreved tremendously as a partnership.

Two in-form sides here, with Norwich in better form but without Cardiff's home advantage. I think Cardiff will get a result here and will go for a narrow 2-1 result for the Bluebirds.
