Cardiff Owe Stoke A Beating!!

Cardiff City travel to Stoke City today in good form and will be looking to right the wrongs of the opening day of the season when The Potters visited South Wales.

Cardiff dominated the game but were found lacking in the final third and unable to muster a cutting edge to breakdown the opposition defence. Stoke 'keeper Steve Simonson was in inspired form and even saved a Steve MacLean penalty on the player's debut - he never missed one for former club Sheffield Wednesday.

Imposing defender Ryan Shawcross found space from a set-piece and swept home for Stoke City to walk away with all three points and give their season the perfect start.

Cardiff would have been devastated to have lost after dominating the gmae and that set the standards for Cardiff's poor start to the campaign. Now though, we have climbed into the top half and are impressing every game.

We owe Stoke a beating, and today would be a great time to get it and hopefully end the day in the play-off positions.
