Cardiff Survive Transfer Window !!!

The transfer window is shut !

Cardiff City fans can breathe a mighty sign of relief with the shutting of the troublesome window. Mr Ridsdale kept his word and did not sell anymore of the clubs star players, rejecting a late lucrative bid for in-form Joe Ledley.

Of course, Chris Gunter is a big loss but most City fans would probably take the sale of the full-bakc to stabilise the club's finances on the condition that Joe Ledley and Aaron Ramsey were both retained.

Interest in Capaldi, McPhail and crucially Ledley, Parry and Ramsey were all rejected by the club, anxious to capitalise on a good league position and run of form.

Jason Byrne and Kevin Cooper departed but neither was likely to feature. Gunter and MacLean were both sold, but for reasonable money. Of course, the loss of two first team players is a problem and leaves us short of cover, but the loan window opens shortly and Cardiff WILL be looking to bring 1 or 2 players in.

Time to dig in and get on with the rest of the season, without fear of the Ledley's, Parry's etc being flogged on the cheap. I for one, feel much better!
