Ledley Increases Stock With Brace

Tomorrow, the transfer window will shut and, with any luck, Cardiff City will still have their full squad of players including in-demand midfielder Joe Ledley who has been turning in superb performances all season.

Ledley has been an excelletn prospect for some time, and played every single game for Cardiff last season. He enjoyed a very good season, but two criticisms regularly aimed at him were a slight frame, and a lack of goals.

However, those problems are now a thing of the past and Ledley looks the complete package. Yesterday's brace took Ledley to 7 for the season, making him joint top scorer with Paul Parry. Thats an excellent return for a midfielder. In addition, he has bulked up and achieved a stronger physique, gaiing a half yard of pace aswell. Ledley has also gained in confidence and now seemsmore happy to take on his man.

Ledley ahs interested many clubs with Wolverhampton making two firm bids for the player. Rumoured interest from the Premiership has so far been staved off by the club, who have re-itereate their desire to keep hold of the Welshman. Ledley himself wants to stay but I for one will be much happier on February the first when we can hopefully look forward to a play-off push with a full and talented squad.

There were numerous scouts at yesterday's game, the only one we want to have any say in Joe's future is Wales Internation manager John Toshack. Roll on February 1st !
