Another Cardiff Nominee For Award

Cardiff City progressed to the 5th round of the FA Cup competition after a 2-1 win over Hereford United, andfor the second round in a row one of the Bluebirds has been nominated for the 'player of the round' award.

Last time out, teenage starlet Aaron Ramsey was nominated after scoring in a 3-1 win at non-league Chasetown. He eventually missed out, the title going to Michael Mifsud of Coventry City.

Now, former Hereford United player Paul Parry has been nominated after an impressive return to Edgar Street. McNaughton scored a superb volley, and was brought down in the area for Steve Thompson to convert but Parry was a constant threat to the Bulls' defence and nearly got in on several occasions.

I can't see Parry winning the award this time around, Preston striker Karl Hawley, Wolves striker Andy Keogh and Havant & Waterlooville winger Alfie Potter are the other contenders but Parry's inclusion is another indicator that the press and otehrs are taking notice of Cardiff City FC.

Cardiff play Wolves at home in the next round and hopefully will have anotehr player in the running for player of the round after that game.
