McNaughton OK After WBA Blow

McNaughton OK After WBA Blow

Cardiff City defender Kevin McNaughton was today given the all clear for an immediate reurn to action. The Scot produced an excellent sliding challenge in the 3-3 draw with West Brom but caught a stray boot from either Bednar or Phillips.

The collision left McNaughton dazed and he was initially put into the recovery position on the field. No stretcher was needed however, and McNaughton eventually struggled off although he looked dazed and un-balanced.

Darcy Blake deputised but is not a natural right-back and that position is one in which we have little cover.

McNaughton has been outstanding since his switch from Aberdeen two years ago. Able to play on the left or right, he is constantly involved and produced consistent tenascious performances that have been importatnt to Cardiff City's defence.
