'If It's Football, It's Vital'

WBA 3-3 Cardiff (Manager Comment)

Cardiff City manager Dave Jones held his head high after watching his team shock the leaders and ever so nearly pull off a great victory. Jones told BBC Sport:

'I am disappointed we conceded from set plays and an own goal.'

'But I don't think many teams will come here, take the game to West Brom and give them a lesson at times.'

'It was a great game. When we go forward we have a lot of power and pace and we gave Albion a bit of a fright.'

West Brom manager Tony Mowbray hailed his team but must have felt just a little smug after his tactical change inspired his side to a fearsome fightback:

'You have got to give great credit to the players for the way they went after the game.'

'The opportunities were there to win the game late on but if you enjoy football it was a great spectacle.'
