Cardiff v Sheff Wed (Team News)

Cardiff City will recall Stephen McPhail to central midfield in place of youngster Aaron Ramsey. McPhail has served his automatic 1 match ban for picking up 5 yellow cards. Aaron Ramsey will revert to a role on the bench.

Michael Oakes will continue in goal despite the loan capture of Peter Enckelman from Blackburn Rovers.

Fowler (hip), Scimeca (groin) and Sinclair (knee)are all long term absentees while the main question remains whether Paul Parry will continue up front or drop Whittingham to the bench.

Up front Cardiff can call on either one or two of Steve Thompson, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink or Steve MacLean with JFH most likely to get the nod.

Sheffield Wednesday have a few injury worries of their own with talented defender Frankie Simek and top scorer Akpo Sodje sidelined.

Steve Watson and Wade Small have regained fitness and are puching for returns while defender Richard Wood came through a reserve team game and could feature on the bench.

Midfielder Ronnie Wallwork is also available for the Owls after joining on loan from West Bromwich Albion.
