Enckelman In Cardiff Loan

Enckelman In Cardiff Loan

Cardiff City have completed the loan capture of former Aston Villa goalkeeper Peter Enckelman on loan from Blackburn Rovers for the remainder of the season.

Although 30, Enckelman is far from experienced. He made 68 appearances for Aston Villa, in which he made a number of embarrassing gaffes. He has barely played since moving to Blackburn Rovers in 2004 but does have 7 caps for national side Finland.

Peter Enckelman will become the Bluebirds 4th number one this season after Ross Turnbull (Middlesborough FC), Michael Oakes (A Bluebird) and Kasper Schmeichael (Manchester City) - he is expected to go straight into the squad for the weekend match against Sheffield Wednesday although Jones may stick with Michael Oakes to start the game.
