Cardiff Chase Keeper Szamotulski

Cardiff City's manager Dave Jones, and chairman Peter Ridsdale are expected at Tannadice Park today to watch a Polish goalkeeper in action in the match between Dundee United and Hearts.

Grzegorz Szamotulski.has been playing at Dundee United on a short term basis, but he is available to leave shortly and Cardiff City are interester in bringing the 31 year old to South Wales.

Kasper Schmeichel has been returned to Manchester City after a successful loan period with the Bluebirds. However, fellow Man City keeper Andreas Isaksson has requested a transfer and Schmeichel is now back-up to number 1 Joe Hart.

Szamotulski is attracting interest from Plymouth Argyle in the Championship along with SPL rivals Hearts and Celtic.

He would be a good signing for Cardiff. He is an excellent keeper and Dundee United will be sorry to see him go.
