Cardiff Brush Off Plymouth Argyle

Cardiff City continued their good form and saw off Plymouth Argyle today.

As with the win over Sheffield United, Cardiff won 1-0 but enjoyed much the better game and could have won by more.

Joe Ledley got the winner on the half hour mark, the in-form Welshman freeing Capaldi on the left and following up when Larrieu could only parry the initial shot.

Cardiff defenders Roger Johnson and Glenn Loovens were in dominant form, and barely allowed the Plymouth frontline a sniff while Kevin McNaughton was extremely effective at right back.

Plymouth hit the post courtesy of a well struck shot and a crucial touch from Kasper Schmeichel but Cardiff substitute Steve MacLEan had two excellent chances to seal the game.

Another good win, and all three points for Cardiff City. Onwards and upwards.

Full match report to follow tomorrow.
