Cardiff Vs Sheff Utd (Team News)

Cardiff City's in form striker Steve Thompson is banned following his red card at Bristol City. His place alongside Hasselbaink will go to Steve MacLean.


Robbie Fowler has picked up a new injury in training. He is yet to feature after having hip surgery and the ankle injury is a further blow to the ex-Liverpool man.


Chris Gunter may not play as he is expected to complete a move to Tottenham Hotspur imminently - his place will go to Tony Capaldi with Kevin McNaughton switching to the right. Having said that, Capaldi has not made the matchday squad of late and moving Joe Ledley to left-back is another option, with Gavin Rae featuring in midfield.

Trevor Sinclair and Riccy Scimeca are long term absentees for the Bluebirds.




The Sheffield United camp has been struck by illness this week and Bryan Robson must wait to see which of his squad are most affected.


One definate change comes at centre-back after Gary Cahill returned to Aston Villa. His place will be taken by veteran Chris Morgan, vastly experienced but prone to mistakes this season - can we exploit them?



Beattie, Stead, Webber, Sharp form a potent strikeforce whomever is picked and we must be on good defensive form.
