Cardiff City's in form striker Steve Thompson is banned following his red card at Bristol City. His place alongside Hasselbaink will go to Steve MacLean.


Robbie Fowler has picked up a new injury in training. He is yet to feature after having hip surgery and the ankle injury is a further blow to the ex-Liverpool man.


Chris Gunter may not play as he is expected to complete a move to Tottenham Hotspur imminently - his place will go to Tony Capaldi with Kevin McNaughton switching to the right.
