Cardiff Star Gunter In Spurs Medical

Cardiff City's promising young full back is expected at Tottenham Hotspur today to undertake a medical ahead of a proposed move to White Hart Lane.

The 18 year old is extremely talented, and very mature - he undoubtedly has a bright future and is one of our more sellable assets. The package is reasonable, although nothing like the deal which took fellow young Welsh full-back Gareth Bale to Spurs.

The money will involve a sizable amount up-front, followed by various add-ons making the potential transfer value over £3.5m.

Its a blow to lose such a talented and valuable player, especially as we would now not see him develop at Ninian Park.

The move is not yet complete, but looks likely. Gunter would not be able to feature for Spurs until the transfer window opens on January 1st.

in all honesty I have never heard of him... is he that good?? Who can you compare him to?

very solid, reliable, fast and determined. He's a better defender than Bale, and although still learning is very very good. I'd say he's like Chimbonda really, but also Steve finnan or someone like that.

NEVER HEARD OF THE LAD IF HE IS STRIKLY GOING TO PLAY LEFT BACK WILL THAT MEAN BALE WILL PLAY FUTHER UP THE LEFT HAND FLANK OR NUTURE HIM INTO A LEFT MIDFIELD DESTROYER FOR THAT`S WERE I SEE HIM ENDING UP , BALE IS FAST GOOD STRIKER OF THE BALL FREE KICK SPECIALIST , BUT HIS TACKLING NEEDS HONED SEND FOR DAVE MCKAY HE WOULD SHARPEN HIM UP ALRIGHT .
