Swansea Crash Out Of FAW Cup

Swansea City have crashed out of the FAW Premier Cup after falling to a late minute Charlie Griffin goal, meaning that it is our rivals to the East (Newport County) and not the West, our friends in Swansea, who potentially await Cardiff City.

We ourselves have a tricky looking tie against 5th places LoW side Welshpool, but with a semi-final against non-league opposition, rather than the expected opponent of Swansea, the cup should be Cardiff City's to win.

Of course, these things are never a formality but surely we have to take the competition more seriously and with the likes of Ramsey, Blake, Cooper, Fowler, MacLean all struggling for first team action - you'd have to fancy us, with a mixture of first team players, to beat any other side in the competition.

Having said that, we have a shocking record, crashing out to Carmarthen Town and The New Saints in the previous two years.
