Cardiff: Who The **** Is Trundle ?!

Cardiff City travel just across the bridge this weekend to face high-flying Bristol City and one Wurzel in particular is relishing the clash.

Poor lee Trundle has never had the best relationship with Cardiff fans, both his current and former club Swansea City are long time rivals and Trundle increased his own animosity by when he raised an anti-CCFC flag after the Swans won promotion.

The Liverpudlian never got the chance to show Cardiff fans his rumoured skill, but now he may have a chance to impress and is targetting the game as a big one for him personally. He told BBC Sport:

'It's a game I've been looking forward to.'

'When I first signed here, it was one I looked for on the fixture list and being an ex-Swansea player as well.'

'I never played against them while I was at Swansea, so it will be extra special.'

The Cardiff City camp couldn't appear to care less, and fair enough. Trundle is a big character certainly but has hardly set the Championship alight. He'll get abuse, and lots of it from the away fans but more for amusement I should imagine.

Manager Dave Jones obviously isn't losing any sleep over facing Trundle:

'It doesn't even enter our heads, we are a bit more professional than to worry about what he has done in the past.'

Trundle has not been in the Bristol City starting XI lately and has just three league goals to his name this season after a £1m move in the summer.
