Cardiff City Court Hearing Delayed

Cardiff City's court hearing against the mysterious Langston Corporation, originally scheduled for Monday 10th December, has been delayed and will now be held in March.


Langston believe they are due £24m now because of a contractual breach by the club, however, Cardiff City firmly assert that the loan is not payable until 2016.


Langston asked the court for a delay after they did not receive crucial documents in time to mount a clear response, and in order not to waste the court's time, Caridff agreeed to a delay.


Although Peter Ridsdale originally claimed that a delay would be worse than a defeat in the court case, it appears that the delay has aided our position with the short term future of the club now secure and the banks have agreed to release funds previously withheld from the club.


Chairman Peter Ridsdale was satisifed with the new date, he told the SW Echo:


"We can work with the March date.'

"We would have liked to get it out of the way quickly, but that`s the court decision.'




The trial will now take place over two days, and if Cardiff are granted a 'defence' in the case, another hearing would then be held, assuming Langston continued with the legal action.



Things are certainly looking up for The Bluebirds, with improved fortunes on and off the field.
