Blackpool FC's Michael Jackson is struggling for this evening's game but is adamant he can cope with the threat of Cardiff City striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
After a brief spell on the bench, Jimmy roared back to life with an excellent second half display against Colchester, capped by a memorable goal.
Jackson has come up against Jimmy before and reckons he's the guy to stop JFH, and Cardiff City as The Tangerines look to continue their ascent up the table.
Jackson told The Blackpool Gazette:
'He was a big powerful fella and if you give him half a yard or one chance he is likely to take it, I wouldn't say it adds any pressure onto me facing a player of his calibre - I'm really looking forward to it.'
'You know you need to be at the top of your game and switched on otherwise you are likely to get punished.'
'There are so many quality players that you can't afford to make any mistakes in and around your own penalty area.'
Jackson also mentioned the improved form of his side, and the importance of defending right - and the impact that has on the team, something Cardiff City fans understand all about.
'It gives the whole team confidence if they know we are capable of keeping clean sheets.'
'It means they can play with more freedom - it gives them a license to go and play in a particular way.'
However, it was our other powerful striker Steve Thompson, also on the scoresheet, that caught the eye on Saturday with a typical aggressive and effective performance. The two strikers have plenty of power between them, and with Parry and Whittingham on the flanks will be looking to come onto the ball and make an impression.
