Blackpool Vs Cardiff (Team News)

Cardiff City could be without Irish midfielder Stephen McPhail for tonight's visit to face Blackpool. McPhail has a hamstring problem and may not be risked meaning a possible recall for Gavin Rae alongside Joe Ledley.

Kevin McNaughton is another injury concern for Cardiff after suffering a knock to his knee. Tony Capaldi is on standby to replace him. Both McNaughton and McPhail will have late fitness tests ahead of the game.

The game come just too early for Robbie Fowler who is still recovering from hip surgery - he is expected to return soon but his continued absence means that Steve Thompson can continue his resurgent form alongside Hasselbaink.

Cardiff are still without Trevor Sinclair and Riccy Scimeca. The latter is nearing a return but we are unlikely to see either in action again in 2007.

Blackpool's Michael Jackson is a doubt for the Seasiders with a stomach bug although the defender reckons he is fully recovered, while on-loan striker Bartosz Slusarski is still struggling with an ankle injury.

On loan Middlesborough defender Tony McMahon suffered another injury setback and will not feature.
