Cardiff Court Case: 'To Be Deferred'

Cardiff City's court case against Langston, due to be held next week, has now been deferred to the new year after a request from Langston's solicitors Hextalls.

This is a huge blow for Cardiff City whose current cash flow is dire with the banks reluctant to release well over a £1m due to the club.

Hextalls require more time to respond and prepare for the case, but the move is more likely to be a further attempt to de-stabilise the club's position with administration looking ever more likely although neither party want to see that happen - surely?

Club chairman Peter Ridsdale said:

"We are extremely disappointed at the further delay. We believe the court case should go ahead on Monday and we believe, if it did, we would win it.'

"But we are mindful of the fact that we do not want to waste the court`s time.'

"Therefore we expect the court to accede to Langston`s request. They are saying they are not in a position to respond to our response until January 18 at the earliest."

i think its stupid. shouldnt the banks see that langston keep refering the dates, which should mean they dont see they can win. so if we keep up presure on langston then we can sort it out
