'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Cardiff Surrender (Manager Comment)

Cardiff City manager Dave Jones was nothing short of disgusted with the performance of his side after making the press wait for his post-match interview:

'It's hard to explain how we can go from recent hard, battling displays to that, you think the players are up for it then this happens.'

'That's the worst performance I've seen from us for a very long time, it was lazy minded. I won't blame the court case.'

'The whole performance was not acceptable. I'm the man in charge, so I'll accept the abuse at the end.'

Charlton Athletic manager Alan Pardew was satisfied with his team's patience and proffesionalism:

'This was a big win for us. I would have preferred to win in front of our home fans at The Valley but you have to take the points when you can.'

'I thought that this time we looked a very good side - and we need to take that discipline into our home games.'
