Cardiff City are desperately searching to find some form and get their season back on track, Ipswich Town are the visitors and arrive as one of the division`s in-form teams.
However, a closer look reveals the visiting Tractor Boys to have an appalling away record this season. In fact, based on away results only, they would be in the relegation zone with 4 draws and 4 defeats to their name. Their home form is superb, perfect in fact with a 100% win record and just 4 goals conceded at Portman Road, they arrive in South Wales on the back of a 6-0 hammering of Bristol City last time out.
Meanwhile, while Cardiff City`s away form is average, we have really struggled at home and only once, against Burnley, have we won at Ninian Park in the league this term. Since that day, we have lost to Wolves and picked up draws against Scunthorpe and fellow strugglers Crystal Palace.
That means Bluebirds fans, we are the WORST team in the division at home, with just 6 points from 8 matches.
Both sides have some unwanted statistics building up ahead of this match, and it goes without saying that both teams will be desperate to shake off that burden and pick up the win. A point is little good to either team with regards the figures, but the Tractor Boys may take a draw to keep themselves in the play-off positions.
We need the three points, and simply must go all out to get them. Its high time to pick up form, wins and points and Ipswich Town are not so impressive away from home. They are however in good scoring form and it should be an edgy, but exciting game.
