Cardiff Fans' Support For Dave Jones

Cardiff City's form and results this season have been bitterly disappointing and well below expectations. We have a stronger squad than previous seasons and yet are consistently under-performing.

Inevitably, much of the flak has fallen squarely on the manager's shoulders and Dave Jones has felt the pressure. Some fans have been clamouring for his sacking, while he he snapped at the media and saw his chairman call an emergency meeting to discuss his future.

However, a recent poll on this Vital Cardiff City website invited readers for their views:

Should We Sack Dave Jones ?

No, give him more time. (61%)
Yes. We're going backwards. (19%)
Only if we can get someone better. (9%)
No, blame the players, not DJ. (9%)
Undecided / Don't care. (2%)

The result is somewhat surprising given the strength of support for Jones to be sacked, and the displeasure voiced after he was granted an extra two games to save his job.

However, it seems that the fans with this viewpoint are the more vocal ones, who ensure their voice is heard as this poll, and others conducted by icwales.co.uk and Real Radio have intimated that the majority of fans are prepared to stick by Jones alittle while longer.
