'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Cardiff Youth Stars Continue Advance

Cardiff City have a number of youngsters progressing through the ranks with a great deal of potential.

Darcy Blake and Aaron Ramsey are two who are regularly involved in first team affairs, even travelling to away games to be be on the fringes of the side.

Both played a part in the weekend's Wales U21s 4-0 win over Bosnia, an impressive win given Wales' poor record at this level.

Darcy Blake functioned at right-back, his chances with Cardiff have been limited but he has played as a centre-back, right-back and right-midfielder for the Bluebirds, while his prefferred role is in central midfield. Hopefully he can find a settled role and progress to challenge for a first team place.

Additionally, there are big hopes for Aaron Ramsey. He attracted interest from Everton over the summer and has a huge amount of potential.

Many fans are of the opinion that if are to lose anyway, they'd rather lose with Ramsey / Blake involved. The adrenaline would be high and both would surely give everything for the cause. However, it may not be advisable to launch them into a malfunctioning, under-fire side.

The time will come, and soon for these big talents. Both look to have a promising future, hopefully at Cardiff City.
