Charlton Fan's View On Cardiff Clash

Vital Cardiff City this week spoke to Charlton Addickt over at Vital Charlton to get his thoughts on the Charlton Athletic vs Cardiff City clash tomorrow:

Are you happy with your departures / signings?

We had so many players that had to go, so Alan Pardew shipped out all of the deadwood to basically start again, and on the whole I have personally been more than happy and feel those that maybe did not quite kick in at first are starting to now. I felt that Svetoslav Todorov was the best striker we had at the club (and arguably one of the best signings) so for him to now be out for the season is such a shame.

A reasonable start, satisfied so far?

Yes and no, after all we are still fourth and that is despite a terrible run recently of three straight defeats. It wasn't that I expecting too much, but maybe I was expecting to be a little higher, not that I'm greedy of course.

Aspirations for this season?

It's got to be an instant return to the Premier League, ideally without the lottery of the play-offs.

Charlton player to watch, how will they hurt us?

Andy Reid has been great this season, but then so to has his midfield partner Zheng Zhi, but after two late goals in as many games to win us both Chris Iwelumo will be looking to score again.

If you could have one Cardiff player on a free, who and why?

On paper the Bluebirds have a lot of very good players, but you can't look past one of the greatest goalscorers this country has seen can you, Robbie Fowler, he will score goals at any level wont he.

Prediction for the game?

At home, against a team nearer the bottom end of the table it`s got to be an Addicks win.

Thanks to Charlton Addickt for his views, we're desperate for the points this weekend and surely a change in fortunes is just around the corner..............??
