Administration Cloud Over CCFC

Cardiff City Chairman Peter Ridsdale is being forced to field questions about administration but insists the only way that can happen, is if the club loses its court case against Langston.

It's worrying enough that the 'A word' is being used in the same sentence as Cardiff City FC after all the excellent work put in and having turned the club's finances around.

Voluntarily going into administration is not an option and Ridsdale has categorically denied any possibility. However, the court case now looms over the club with everything resting on its outcome.

Chairman Peter Ridsdale told BBC Sport:

'The only way Cardiff City would go into administration is if that was forced because we lost the court case.'

'We adamantly believe this will not happen.'

'We are also preparing for the court hearing and our legal advice says we have a good case.'

'Administration has no place in our plans. None at all.'

Despite the continued re-assurances from management, appreciated by the fans, this issue is still clouding the future of the club. The team is not performing to its potential and we face a lengthy off the field battle, sure to de-stabilise the club and tie up funds.
