Wolves Boss Wary Of Cardiff Threat

Tonight's visiting manager, Mick McCarthy of Wolverhampton Wanderers, is in no doubt about the test his side will face at Ninian Park and has highlighted a key battle that will need to be won if his side at to come away with the win.

Cardiff's veteran strikeforce of Hasselbaink and Fowler has been improving steadily, and had begun to fire before the last outing against Saints. However, there were still glimmers of promise and both will be hungry for goals tonight - McCarthy is particularly wary of the duo and needs his defenders on top form:

'They are still top, top strikers," Hasselbaink still has great power and Fowler is as good a finisher as there has ever been.'

'They might not have the pace that they once had. But they are still very, very clever around the box.'

'There is no doubt that the pair of them will be a real handful. But I am sure my two central defenders, Jody Craddock and Darren Ward, are up for the challenge.'

Cardiff need the win more than Wolves, things have not been going right for the Bluebirds despite some decent performances. A win over Wolves would be a massive boost and is well within the grasps of our near full-strength squad - all we need now are to cut out the mistakes, and to put away our chances.

If only it were that simple.....
