Cardiff City: Crucial Home Clashes

Cardiff City have two home games of huge importance coming up, starting tonight with the daunting prospect of an in-form Wolverhampton Wanderers side.


On Saturday, Cardiff face a different challenge, in the form of newly promoted - but impressive Scunthorpe United. Cardiff must take 4 points from the two games, preferably all 6 but that looks a tall order with both teams comfortably ahead of the Bluebirds and our own form faltering.


In a tough division where anyone can beat anyone else, it's all very tight and a run of good results would see us storm up the table and no lasting damage from the poor start to the season. However, any more siappointments would see gaps begin to appear and rival teams forge way ahead and it will be too late to challenge.


In October, it seems ridiculous to talk about must win games, however, for the confidence of the players, the fans and the managerial staff - something needs to change. And fast.
