'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Managerspeak: Millwall

What the two managers had to say about last night’s 1-1 draw with Millwall at Ninian Park.

Dave Jones:
'We were in control for long periods and how we didn't get a penalty I will never know.

'We still had chances to win but a lapse of concentration by one of our players has cost us dearly.
It is frustrating but then it is up to us to press hard for the win.

'Our goal was well worked and in all we had 21 goal attempts to their three but we ended up being done by a sucker punch. It all came down to that stone-cold penalty decision.'

The decision to which Jones referred came three minutes after the interval, when Jerome was brought down in the area but referee Andre Marriner waved play on.

Dave Tuttle:

'He [ Berry Powel ] took his goal well and looks a confident player.

'Cardiff may have dominated the game but we have come away with a point that our second-half display deserved.

'We are happy with the way it went as a draw in Cardiff is a great result for us.'
