Cardiff City have Darren Purse back in the matchday squad, although Dave Jones has confirmed the experienced defender will not start the game. Another to miss out is Trevor Sinclair with knee trouble meaning Paul Parry will start on the right wing.


Joe Ledley will have a late fitness test, but Jones is hopeful over the midfielder with Peter Whittingham set to step in should Ledley fail to be fit.


Steve Thompson (shin-splints), Riccy Scimeca (groin) and Steve MacLean (ankle) are all definately out.




Former Everton defender Gary Naysmith (hamstring) and the injury prone Nick Montgomery (rib)are struggling for tonight's game but could both feature.


Highly rated youngster Gary Cahill, on loan from Aston Villa, is set to start Robson has a difficult choice up-front with Beattie, Stead and Billy Sharp all hoping for the nod. Rob Hulse is still out with a broken leg, but is nearing a return.


Midfielder Michael Tonge is also hopeful of a recall as the Blades look desperately for the 3 points to end a disappointing run of results.
