Cardiff Draw With Preston

Cardiff City got their first home point of the season yesterday but were denied all three by a spirited second half performance by Preston NE.


The Bluebirds dominated the first half and led deservedly courtesy of a nodded goal by Robbie Fowler, his first for City. Davidson levelled in the second half for PNE, a low strike beating Michael Oakes.


Fowler renewed the Bluebirds' lead with another header, this time from a corner until Davidson stole the show with a dramatic long range thunderbolt to equalise with moments left.


A frustrating draw for Cardiff, they could have had the game won after a poor Preston showing in the first half. The Lilywhites improved dramatically second half but needed to great strikes to level.
