Cardiff -vs- Preston (Team News)
Cardiff City could again be without central defenders Glenn Loovens and Darren Purse (foot and knee infection respectively) so McNaughton must again cover at centre-half.
Robbie Fowler is stiff after a back strain though will play some part in the match. Thompson could replace him or Paul Parry will switch to a forward role with Joe Ledley or Peter Whittingham resuming their left midfield roles.
Steve MacLean is a long term injury worry for the Bluebirds.
Former Cardiff City target and on-loan Newcastle United striker Andy Carroll is suspended for Preston with Brett Ormerod or the returning Neil Mellor set to replace him.
Paul McKenna is definately out with a groin strain while veteran long-serving defender Graham Alexander has left the club to join local rivals Burnley.
Player to watch: Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink
An excellent goal in midweek and a few near misses. JFH is looking sharper all the time and hungry for more goals.
