Plymouth Fan's View On Cardiff Clash

Vital Cardiff City spoke this week to Plymouth Argyle fan Paul Williams ahead of this weekend's match against the Pilgrims:

Are you happy with your departures / signings ?

Argyle have only signed four new players and two of them were just recently. It's fair to say that we need cover for the right-back and centre-back positions and Ian Holloway has sort of remedied that with the signing of two French utility players. The two Hungarians, Peter Halmosi and Krisztian Timar were good signings.
As for departures, I think Tony Capaldi has been missed in the left-back position.

Capaldi looks solid enough for us so far, will he maintain this?

Capaldi is a good, steady player. He's not spectacular but he does a job for the team which often goes un-noticed by the fans. Over a 4 year spell at Argyle every manager picked him. He's a good free signing for Cardiff.

Aspirations for this season?

Given the lack of finance, manager Ian Holloway would be doing really well to get the team into a mid-table position. Anything above last season's finish of 11th would be a real bonus. There has been talk of reaching the play-offs but other clubs who are bigger and better financed than Argyle will finish above us.

Plymouth Argyle player to watch, how will they hurt us?

That would be telling! Peter Halmosi on the left wing could be a threat or Akos Buzsaky and David Norris in midfield.

If you could have one Cardiff player on a free, who and why?

With our lack of central defenders then big defender Roger Johnson would be ideal for Argyle.

Prediction for the game?

A very tight game, with chances at a premium, so 4-1 to Argyle!
