Cardiff City forward Warren Feeney has opened a can of worms by agreeing to join local rivals Swansea City on loan until Christmas.
Feeney is a relatively new signing at Ninian Park, but has failed to impress so far and looks set to drop down the striker order with the Bluebirds. He has not scored for his new club and a loan deal seemed likely to allow the Northern Irish international to gain first team experience and build his confidence.
However, he may now be the man to help fire Swansea City into League 1 promotion contention. Something some Cardiff fans will be none to pleased about!
A recent poll on this VitalCardiff website invited readers to share their views on Feeney's loan move:
Do you want Feeney to do well for the Jacks?
Of course, he's a Bluebird at heart! 5%
Yes, he'd come back a better player. 54%
No, each goal would help the Swans. 9%
Absolutely not, hopefully he'll send them down! 28%
Not bothered at all, actually. 4%
A re-assuring vote of confidence for Feeney, sho has worked tirelessly in his Cardiff City career so far. Swansea City already have the in-form Jason Scotland in the goals while Roberto Martinez (Swansea manager) recently met with John Hartson - although no move is likely to materialise.
Basically, the message for Feeney seems to be to either score some goals and the door is left open for your return, or, if not possible - try to see them losing!
