Cardiff's MacLean Injury Nightmare

Cardiff City's new boy Steve MacLean looks set to endure a terrible start to his Cardiff City career as he limped out of a reserve team game.

The former Sheffield Wednesday favourite looks set to be sidelined for three months after rupturing ankle ligaments. This is a huge blow for the player who is looking to make an impression at his new club.

In his 3 league starts for the club, MacLean has looked energetic and lively. His partnership with Feeney struggled but he would relish playing alongside Hasselbaink. He scored the first goal of the season for the Bluebirds in a 2-0 win at QPR, that after missing a crucial last minute penalty against Stoke City on the opening day.

Cardiff City may now turn to the loan market for cover as our striker problems look set to continue.

i think that maclean should go out on loan, or just be sold. i think that he doesnt suit the cardiffs way of playing. he would be better of with another club in my view

Trust me, he will be like that for a long time, very injury prone. Has two very dogdy knees, thank god he left us.
will it ever happen
