Cardiff Get West Brom In Cup

Cardiff Get West Brom In Cup

So Cardiff City reach the third round of the Carling Cup after narrow wins over Brighton and Hove Albion and Leyton Orient.

The draw for the 3rd round has been made and sees Cardiff City travel to the Hawthorns on Tuesday 25th September for a 7.45 kick off.

Cardiff City were not due to play the Baggies until January and February, so the Cup draw gives a chance to see one of the favourites for promotion from the Championship.

We have fielded strong sides in the competition so far, and could do the same again against one of our rivals. We do have a stronger squad this year and the cup competitions provide a good opportunity for players such as Whittingham or Steve MacLean to show their worth.
