Ex-Cardiff Man To Run Academy
Former Cardiff City player Neal Ardley will become the new head of the Bluebirds' youth academy.
Lee Robinson left the position suddenly just last week, and Ardley has been lined up to replace him, after retiring from Millwall FC.
Ardley joined us in March 2005 from Watford and spent 18 months as a Cardiff City player. He operated mainly on the right wing, but filled a gap at right back effectively in place of Rhys Weston who was struggling for form. Ards is vastly experienced and made over 400 appearances for Watford, MK Dons, Cardiff City and Millwall.
He told the SW Echo:
'Cardiff City have offered me a fantastic opportunity,'
'Coaching is something I have always wanted to get involved in and this is the perfect chance.'
