Cardiff's Parry Snubs Wales Duty

Cardiff City winger Paul Parry has withdrawn from the Wales International Squad to face Germany and Slovakia.

The winger recently said he didn't expect to be selected, but was called up by John Toshack after impressing in early season for the Bluebirds.

Parry has now withdrawn from the squad, citing 'personal reasons' for his absence. Parry is not a fan of flying, preferring to drive whenever possible - but there is little option for a trip to Slovakia.

Parry's reasons are unknown, he may be disillusioned with the squad under Toshack or simply having personal issues.

Lets hope his Cardiff City form does not suffer as a result.

thats bad. I suppose something may be going on behind the scenes, but not impressed with the lad if its his decision

its good to see that parry did this by the books. he did not go to the papers and say, im not playing while toshack is here. he phoned him up and had a word with him, and i think that toshack should respect his decison espically if it is personal, and when he feels hes ready THEN he should be re-called
