Norwich vs Cardiff City (preview)

Cardiff City travel to Norwich City this weekend looking to kickstart their season after picking up a disappointing 3 points from their opening 3 fixtures.

The Canaries have undergone a major overhaul during the summer, they lost the former Cardiff strike pairing of Peter Thorne and Robert Earnshaw but brought in Jamie Cureton who scored plenty of Championship goals for Colchester United last season.

Other significant signings included Darel Russell from Stoke City and exciting prospect Jimmy Smith on loan for Chelsea but the fans will have been disappointed to have lost midfield lynchpin Dickson Etuhu to Sunderland. Etuhu scored a great goal to end a 5 game winning streak for City last year.

Cardiff City have struggled so far but have played some good stuff. The only problem has been a lack of goals and the inclusion of Robbie Fowler and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink gives the squad a stronger look and gives far more options in attack for Dave Jones.

At the moment, Cardiff are more suited to playing away from home, where the opponents are more likely to come forward and leavethe space for our passing game. Nowrrich are a decent side, but without Earnshaw look a little toothless.
