Cardiff City Sign Hasselbaink

Cardiff City Sign Hasselbaink

Former Chelsea, Leeds Untied and Charlton Athletic striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink last night sealed a deal with Cardiff City and links up with the squad today.

The Dutch forward is a seasoned professional and has spent many years playing in the Premiership. At 35, he is no spring chicken but will add power and experience to our mis-firing frontline. As well as a lack of goals, The Bluebirds have been lacking a striker able to hold the ball up and bring midfielders into play.

Cardiff City now have Hasselbaink, Fowler and Trevor Sinclair in their ranks - all three vasly experienced Premiership players. All three are big names, and whilst all are past their best - can surely add something to the Cardiff squad.

Fowler and Hasselbaink both need to regain match fitness, but when they return will surely help to boost Cardiff's goalscoring worries.

Welcome JFH.
