Hammam To Blame For Cardiff Mess

The re-surfacing of Cardiff City's debt problems comes at a pretty poor time for the club.

The season began with expectations high at Ninian Park, some good signings and a full house at the opening game. We lost, showing the same problems that haunted us last season.

Now, the shadow of debt looms once more over the club. I cannot thatnk Mr Ridsdale enough for his speed and openness over the issue. There is obviously confusion, but in speaking so strongly and allowing official documents to be discussed - he has helped the siuation no end.

I can only assume that the current mess we are in, is down to Sam Hammam. He alone, knew the identity and arrangement with Langstons. No-one since has been able to discover their exact identity or motives and they appear now to be challenging the re-structuring of the loan notes.

Hammam showed some bitterness at being ousted from the club, he did a lot in his time here, but the club was 15 minutes from folding when he 'reluctantly agreed' to a saving package, including £300k over 3 years for himself.

The Langstons law suit is worrying, the two parties have very different views of the agreement in place. Hammam's secrecy has brought us another problem to be solved before the club can move onwards.

I may be naive, but I beleive Peter Ridsdale is the right man to sort this, and to have at the helm of the club. Funny how things change. Only time will tell...

yet again...we get a big squad..some big names...and promotion is lookin alive..... but as always a big money problem comes along as soon as we think we are going to be ok. sam hammam made us. and he and him alone i think can save us, unless ridsdale can make £30million without damagin the club
