Cardiff's Jones Pleads For Patience

Cardiff City manager Dave Jones has pleaded for patience from the South Wales media and fans ahead of the new season. Cardiff have exceeded expectations in recent years and the levels carry on rising as the club build up.

Much credit must go to Dave Jones and Peter Ridsdale for pulling Cardiff City from trouble and making them a force in the Championship.

It seems unfair to criticise our team or management, but expectations are high and the pressure will be on to get results.

However, Dave Jones as ever is determined to consider the broader picture and build towards an altogether brighter future at the club:

'I get criticised for moaning, but because I do moan and have a go I`m starting to get the things I want.'

'The most successful clubs are the ones who stick with people, who have their ups and downs before they get it right.'

'I can`t win over every supporter, but the ones who look and see what we`re building should be happy with their club.'

'We all have Premiership ambitions. I still count myself as top flight. I want to be back there.'
Jones told the SW Echo.

Jones has had other offers for managerial jobs but has committed his future to the club and is determined to gain promotion. It would have been too soon last season, but we do have a stronger squad and could better sustain a promotion push.
