Loan Deals For Cardiff Starlets ?

Cardiff City have two emerging talents in midfield, both of whom have impressed the manager and forced their way into first team reckoning.

Darcy Blake and Aaron Ramsey, both central midfielders have both played a part in the pre-season build up and have continued to impress.

However, with the new season looming - neither seems likely to be able to cement a starting spot.

The aggression and calibre of the Championship is a lot for even the pluckiest youngsters to take and with the likes of McPhail, Ledley, Scimeca and Rae ahead of them in the pesking order - chances look likely to be limited.

Both players can look forward to regular reserve games and will probably play in the FAW Invitation and Carling Cup ties.

However, should one or both of the players be allowed to gain valuable first team experience on loan to League 1,2 or Conference teams? They would certainly have more opportunities and find the standard a better level for the moment, they could learn their trade before staking a stronger claim with the Bluebirds.

By keeping both talented youngsters at the Club, Dave Jones can keep a close eye on them and limit their exploits to an appropriate level so as not to over-burden them too soon.

Do you have an opinion? Should loan deals be considered or even pursued? Let us know.

Send them out on loan for a month at a time, no point getting them injured or too tired.
