Cardiff City Flood Report

Cardiff City's on-loan midfielder Willo Flood has made an impressive start to his Dundee United career with a goal just minutes into his debut. The diminutive midfielder capitalised on a goalkeeping error to put his side ahead.

Flood was intrumental for his new side and played well as his side drew 2-2 with Raith Rovers.

The performance has pushed him into contention for an appearance against European Giants Barcelona tonight but Flood insists he is concentrating on being ready for the league games after missing a chunk of pre-season while his wife gave birth to their son:

'Some people will say I've timed it perfectly to get a game against Barcelona but, to be honest, I've not even looked at that fixture.'

'I didn't come here to think about friendlies, what I want to do is line up-against Aberdeen when the real action starts.'

Flood did not feature regularly for the Bluebirds last season but could return stronger next year after getting some competitive action under his belt.
