Happy Birthday to Cardiff Starlet
Vital Cardiff City wishes Chris Gunter many happy returns for his 18th birthday today.
The young full-back burst onto the Ninian Park scene last season and put in some excellent performances. Unbelievably mature for a 17 year old, he looks an exciting prospect for the future and great things are expected from him.
It must be remembered that he is, as of today, only 18 and still learning his trade. Cardiff have rejected two big offers for him and he has already won his first Wales cap.
Gunter will hope to play on a regular basis this season as a right-back. Dave Jones has shown commendable faith in him and he will compete with Kevin McNaughton for the full-back role.
