Cardiff Leave Portugal On A High

Cardiff City overcame local Portugese side Vitoria De Setubal by 1-0 as they wrapped up their pre-season training camp near Lisbon.

The result made it two wins out of two for the Bluebirds and it was great to see new signing Steve MacLean grap the winner with a cool low finish.

A fan at the game was especially impressed with fellow new signing Gavin Rae who was dominant and neat whilst covering a lot of ground.

Trevor Sinclair also showed he still retains a high level of skill with some bright touches in his first Bluebirds appearance.

The starting line-up gave us an insight into Dave Jones' strongest line-up as he fielded an impressive starting XI. Tony Capaldi and Darren Purse look the most likely to come into that team on the opening day of the season while a new striker will alos be incoming.
