Cardiff City Beat Portugese XI

Cardiff City overcame a team of Portugese select players, each released by their club and hoping to win recommendations from the many scouts at the game.

Ironically it was Cardiff City's triallist Constantinos Charalambides who stole the show with another impressive and tricky perfromance on the right wing who capped his hour long appearance with a goal.

Matt Green, the young pacy striker, got another for Cardiff City while a 2nd half Kevin McNaughton own goal made the final score 2-1 to the Bluebirds.

There was a run out for many of the likely first team, while the yoiung pairing or Darcy Blake and Aaron Ramsey looked efficient for the first half before being replaced at half time by the more experienced duo of McPhail and Rae.

Jason Byrne, Matt Green, Steve MacLean and Warren Feeney all got a chance to shine as they vye to become the replacement for Sunderland bound Michael Chopra.

Cardiff end their tour with a game against Vitoria Setubal on Saturday before returning home.
