Cardiff City Sign Veteran Keeper

Cardiff City have announced the signing of a goalkeeper but the choice will be a disappoinment to many Bluebirds fans.

After missing out on top target Richard Wright, Cardiff City have offered a 1 year deal to veteran stopper Michael Oakes.

The 33 year old was released by Wolves, where he played under Dave Jones, at the end of last season following 8 years at Molineux.

By no means an inspirational signing for City but they desperately needed a second keeper for the pre-season matches.

Vital Cardiff understands that the Bluebirds will be trying to sign another keeper before the start of the season with a young keeper from a Premiership side currently a loan target.
