Cardiff: Alex Attracts Prem Interest

Cardiff City's long-serving goalkeeper Neil Alexander has been out of contract for some time having left the club following prolonged contract negotiations that eventually broke down.

Since then, Alexander has been linked with a host of clubs but has still yet to finalise a move.

Alexander's agent, Andy Evans, revealed offers for the Scotsman:

'Neil has had several offers from Championship clubs and some in Scotland.'

'But there is no immediate rush and he wants to be certain his decision now is the right one.'

However, it has emerged that several Premiership clubs are keeping a close eye on Alexander's situation. Derby County, West Ham and Everton are all credited with an interest and this may explain Alexander's hesitancy to commit.

Of course, the fact that he is an established keeper, in his prime and available for nothing is a big plus for the player and Premiership interest would not be too suprising.

Cardiff City have still not replaced Neil although an announcement is expected this week.

Never quite understood why we're so keen to see him go - no-one else seems to be desperate to come here to replace him!

thing is gts, i dont think many are glad to see him go. He's a true professional with good quality! I reckon most want him to stay.
